Andrew took this self portrait in the plane on way to Brazil this morning. He has won a trip, through his work to go and watch the Grand Prix there!!!

When we bade him farewell at RB Airport the children were brave and noisy, excited and funny. On our way home his plane flew right above our car and to my surprise they all 3 started to cry, real sobs, tears, red faces, noses streaming! Adie and Beth were crying out loud and Cate just cried quietly, needing her space. Clearly what did not help was Sarah Brightman's song came on ' It's time to say Goodbye.' Later on Cate told me she felt like she never had a Dad anymore. They had a small taste of what the orphans go through everyday. shame it must be terrible for them. Uncle Ben phoned later and got smiles going again.

i, too, did not enjoy knowing my man was 1000 feet in the air, i will relax once he has landed safely which will be about 8 pm our time!!!

Then we can start counting sleeps till his return!!
